Ayuvedic Medicine called Lemongrass THE connective tissue oil as it tightens the elastin fibres and was included in liniments for injury, bruises, dislocations, torn cartilage and tendons and sprains.
Commonly used in the treatment of colds, headaches, stomach, abdominal and rheumatic pain, gastroenteritis, and colitis. As a vapour it was employed to disinfect and deodorise the air. Included in skin care as a tonic and astringent, to cleanse and reduce the symptoms of oily skin and for its anti-fungal, antiseptic properties. Also employed as a sedative for the nervous system.

Ideal to use at work, home or study to energise, inspire and refresh our thinking, memory and concentration. Great to use in the morning as it helps us feel refreshed and energised ready for the new day. Commonly used to deodorise and clear a space and supports us to create new beginnings. Ayuvedic medicine considered it relates to the second chakra, supporting absorption of new ideas and elimination and detoxification of the old.
